Follow the Hydrotherapy Pool Build

Raising for the Read Triplets is a wider community initiative to help meet the special needs of the Read Triplets. In particular to enable their independence.  The Read triplets live in country NSW, Australia, with their dad and mum, Ben and Jemimah. The children have Merosin Deficient Muscular Dystrophy and rely on daily care and power wheelchairs.

Very recently the family have been able to move into their new home, provided through the commitment and generosity of many donors and the local community , however the trials of this young family do not end here. As the children grow so do the obstacles they will face.  The current priority is access to a local hydrotherapy pool. Hydrotherapy is essential to their maintaining a greater quality of life for the longest time possible. It is the ONLY exercise they are able to achieve.  As there is no accessible hydrotherapy pool available within 60 kilometres and the round trip is at least 3 hours,  the committee is hoping to purpose build a hydrotherapy pool at home.

We invite you to share their adventures, and help Anwen, Mahalah and Gideon realise a full a life! As they say, "Where there's a wheel, there's a way!"
